Redline hood struts work as designed! I don't know why you would ever put a prop rod on any vehicle.

Quicklift Elite hood struts	Monday, September 19, 2016

Simple installation using stock holes in hood and one fender bolt per side. A great addition to the Mustang. Lifts hood without any trouble. Very happy with the fit and finish. Also very fast shipping.

I bought this for my friend who had a stroke and lost feeling in his left arm. Now he can open and close the hood with one hand. Installation took only a few minutes and the quality is outstanding. Even the packaging was top notch. Now I need to get a set for my Ranger and Focus.
