Redline hood lift for CX5	Monday, July 27, 2026

these Redline hood lifting products are awesome, second set I have ordered from them first one was installed on my 2014 Mazda 3, had it for a few years now, no issues at all, this one was for my Mazda CX5, even easier install no drilling and even look better since it was the elite, reliable easy and fast shipping and receiving are what I think of when I think of Redline, job well done to the folks at Redline!!!

Easy install. Works as advertised. Be careful not to drop anchor nut down the black hole near finder. Highly recommend.

To begin with, such quality, engineering, and customer service for such a niche part. Truly welcomed indeed. Redline had exactly what I needed. Chose regular shipping. Ordered on a Friday, it arrived the next day (NICE!) The struts were packaged securely and with color and IMO - foolproof instructions. I had already viewed the install video, but the instructions just confirmed the step by step. I had a bit of a faux pas.. the one strut went on (albeit a bit oddly), the other strut end broke when attempting install. I triple confirmed I was doing it correctly, and had another person confirm same. I sent a note with pictures to Redline. Almost instantly I received a reply from Brian at Redline... seems I had the correct struts, but the ends (the part that broke) were the incorrect ends. Brian shipped the proper ends. The ends just screw onto the strut. Bingo, good to go! Totally satisfied - excellent customer service. I'd buy from them in a heartbeat. THANKS BRIAN!

Installation nominal after a few hiccups	Monday, March 28, 2022

I successfully installed these lifters, but not without hiccups. Specific to the 2021 CX-5, the left stud hole was partially blocked by a mounting bracket for some engine component. Removed the screws holding this bracket to the frame and pushed it aside enough to mount the stud. Other problem was after the lifters were installed, the hood wouldn't close. The lifters seemed stuck and didn't want to force them. A u-Tube video demonstrated how to exercise the lifters prior to installation. Before I could do that, had to remove the lifters. u-Tube video on how to remove the c-clips proved helpful. Got the lifters off, exercised as instructed, re-mounted, and all was good from there! Pleased with the results, the lifters are working great. I would encourage you to update your instructions with a step for exercising the lifters. A note about removing the lifters from the fittings would also be helpful.
