The install was easy their hood shocks struts whatever you want to call them what I did find surprising was that just one could hold up the hood.Good quality in my opinion

Purchased a set of the Redline Tuning hood struts for my Tacoma Trailhunter and I couldn’t be happier. Great quality with simple installation. Took no more than 10 min to install and they were flawlessly.

Product is heavy duty and I believe it will last the life of the truck. Instructions were some of the best that I have seen, including pictures where everything goes. And the product is stamped with identification numbers so you can’t mix them up. All in all , with me being a perfectionist I would say it shouldn’t take no longer that 45 minutes from start to finish.

Super easy to install (less than 15 minutes) with no drilling or rivets required.

I would recommend watching one of the installation videos (although the written instructions were quite good). Once you have done this you just remove one hood bolt and attach a bracket and reinstall the bolt. The lower brackets are just as easy.

Overall, a clean install and perfect functionality for something that Toyota absolutely should have included.

I would definitely recommend these hood struts to anyone.
