Our QuickLIFT Systems include quick-release end-fittings on the gas struts for the Jeep models. This allows the user to easily remove the strut from the lower attachment and then place the hood all the way back onto the wind-shield.

BLACK GAS SPRINGS - The gas springs used in this application each have a black e-coated steel body with black annealed extending rod. The end-fittings used are designed specifically for this application. Gas strut orientation is always body end up (large tube attaching to hood bracket) and extending rod attaches to lower ball stud.

QUICK-RELEASE ENDS - Both lower strut attachments include a quick-release mechanism that allows the hood to be released from the gas struts. This allows the user to easily remove the gas strut from the lower attachment and rest hood on the windshield of your Jeep as if the struts were not installed. Simply snap them back on to utilize your Hood QuickLIFT System.
