Received these hood lift struts recently and completed the install the same day. So far (it's been about 2 weeks) they are working flawlessly. Can't speak to the longevity, but in all the reviews I have read there hasn't been any issues at all with these struts continuing to work as intended. The only recommendation I have to anyone considering an install is make sure you have a really good drill bit, as the hood hinges are made of hardened steel and are not easily drilled without a good bit. My first attempt was done using a cheap bit and I really struggled to make a pilot hole for the (included) step bit from Redline. After getting a proper bit the job was really quick and easy. I would have given 5 stars but haven't had them long enough to speak to longevity of the struts. Would definitley buy from Redline again.

Was not expecting to drill into the hinges. Using my sharp bit did the trick. Love these hood struts. Have used on my mustangs over the last 15 years. Didn't realize they had them for the Escape until I came out to purchase a set for my GT350. Excellent product.
