added these to my 98 Tacoma 4x4. They are very strong and hold the hood up easily.  my only concern was that they would be in the way if reaching over a fender to work under the hood.  this is not st all the case, they sit far enough back to be out of the way and provide plenty of room to work.

These are terrific support lifts for the hood. Instructions couldn't be better and all necessary hardware included. Fit, finish, and packaging is excellent.

Installation took about a half hour, and I couldn't be happier. They look great and lift the hood to the same height as the prop rod held it. The mounts did have a little bit of protrusion on the opposite side from where the ball holds the strut, so getting it to sit flush wasn't entirely possible. I just had to make sure they were straight. This was easy enough and I would and have already recommended these to friends.

Was relatively easy to install with basic hand tools! Huge difference in functionality, no longer is the hood prop in the way! I opted for the Plus which features nice black finish and the feature where it slows down the last inch when it rises. I'm embarrassed to say I'm excited to open my hood lol. Should have came like this from Toyota!

struts and hardware showed up in a sturdy shipping tube, contents were packed well. Included full color step by step instructions, install time was around 20 minutes. Hardware fit and finish were excellent and the operation of the struts is smooth. Hard to believe how much the old prop rod was in the way. Really nice product!

Great product at a great price. Installation literally took less than 15 minutes once I gathered all the tools. Hard to believe how much more open the engine compartment looks now without that prop rod in the way. The brackets are sturdy and the struts have just the right amount of push!
