Installed on a 2006 Trailblazer SS, went smoothly, took about an hour but could of been a lot quicker, took my time measuring a few times to make sure everything lined up before drilling. I Have a black truck so the black brackets blend in perfectly in the engine bay and looks factory. Now the hood is so easy to open in confined areas, no more messing with the prop rod. Printed Directions are precise but I did drill and rivet one complete side first before moving to the other. I hooked up both shocks after mounting all brackets to allow maximum movement of the hood while drilling and riveting. A few tips: Put something to catch the shavings when drilling the hood (cardboard), you don't need the metal shavings falling in any of the electrical components. Also when riveting the brackets onto the fenders, place something soft to protect the fender (towel or folded rag) just in case your riveting tool slips and hits the fender and scratches the paint, its pretty close to the fender.
